Been Awhile...

I guess I have been busy lately. It is the holiday season and I am looking forward to spending time with my family. I can't wait to be with my son. It has been a few months since I have seen him. It's a good thing we will be together for the holidays!

Work Day

I started something new today for my classes. I called it "Worksheet Wednesday". It actually turned out very well and all the kids, and I mean ALL the kids were on task today. As an added bonus, I had an unannounced observation today from Mr. Roberts. He came in during 4th period. It went very well.

On another note, I got a phone call today from Liza. She told me that Josh received 5 demerits for talking during a quiz. He is allowed 25 for the whole year. Liza took away his phone, tv and computer time. I agreed with Liza with the grounding. Although he did not cheat, Josh needed to learn this lesson. It was hard to ground him, according to Liza and I agreed with her again but sometimes it just has to be.

Orlando Airport

i am writing this at the Southwest gate. I am waiting to board for Las Vegas. There is a slight stopover at Alburqueue? (sp?). Anyway, the court date went well. The judge was very intimidating however, she agreed what Liza and I signed off on. Overall, this was a very enjoyable trip even though it was extremely short. I even got to see my BFF, Sarah! I saw her at her job and a picture of us is posted on DropShots. Now, back to work tomorrow...

Chipotle Get-Together...

It was truly great to see my old friends and students in Orlando. I had to come to Orlando to take care of custody of Josh. Britt set up the little party at the restaurant. She told all her classes that I would be in town and invited them to Chipotle. There were quite a few students with their parents. The pictures are posted on DropShots. I should be back in Vegas tomorrow afternoon. I hope tomorrow's court appearance goes well...

Steeler's!!

I got to watch my first Steeler game. They finally broadcasted it on national TV. We played the SF 49ers and of course, we won!! The score was 37-16. I got to wear my jersey and I screamed my head off! It was fun to watch!

Weekend

Finally ffeel better today. I have had a cold and flu the past few days. I called into work on Tuesday and Friday. I probably should have stayed home on Wednesday so I could have had 2 days in a row to recover. Still, though taking it easy today.
